TO THE MEMBERS OF THE UNITED STATES SENATE:

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce supports a swift vote on the nomination of Mark Calabria to be the Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency.

Mr. Calabria is well qualified to lead a housing finance reform effort, which remains work unfinished since the 2008 financial crisis. He has extensive private and public sector experience—including stints as chief economist for Vice President Pence, deputy assistant secretary at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and as professional staff for the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs.
