In recent years, American families and businesses have faced rising prices and economic uncertainty. Continued pressure on household budgets has spurred Congress to tackle affordability, create jobs, and expand economic opportunity.

These issues are highlighted in a new U.S. Chamber of Commerce issue advocacy campaign, “Stuck,” featuring eight members of Congress who supported the Working Families Tax Cuts and highlighting the need for continued bipartisan action to address affordability and jobs.

The campaign features Representatives David Valadao (CA-22), Jeff Hurd (CO-03), Jeff Crank (CO-05), Maria Elvira Salazar (FL-27), Tom Barrett (MI-07), Brad Finstad (MN-01), Mike Lawler (NY-17), and Bryan Steil (WI-01).

Providing Tax Relief for Working Families and Businesses

Federal tax policy helps American families manage household expenses and gives businesses the certainty they need to invest, hire, and grow.

Signed into law on July 4, 2025, the Working Families Tax Cuts included provisions affecting workers, seniors, small businesses, farmers, and manufacturers.

These new campaigns highlight the featured lawmakers' support for these tax cuts and the importance of building on that progress.

Addressing Affordability and Supporting Jobs

Rising costs continue to put pressure on families. Small businesses, farmers, and manufacturers face similar challenges that affect their ability to grow and create jobs.

The Chamber's “Stuck” campaign depicts a family vehicle stuck in the mud, a metaphor for the economic challenges Americans are facing. As the vehicle is pulled free, the ads underscore how congressional action can help families and businesses move forward.

The campaign also calls for continued bipartisan cooperation and legislative efforts to lower costs, strengthen the economy, and keep America moving forward.
