WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced its endorsement of Candidate Paul LePage for Maine’s Second Congressional District. The U.S. Chamber endorses candidates for federal office who will support policies that drive innovation, grow the economy, and create opportunities for American businesses and workers.

“The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is proud to endorse Paul LePage for Congress in Maine’s Second Congressional District,” said Steve McAllister, Vice President of the Eastern Region for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “Governor LePage has a long track record of creating jobs, understanding what it takes to make payroll, and building a strong economy where families can prosper. As a successful businessman and Governor, he fought every day to grow Maine’s economy and strengthen its workforce. He understands the challenges facing employers and the importance of creating an environment where businesses can invest, grow, and create good paying jobs. He will bring those same skills, experience, and determination to Washington and deliver results for the people of Maine’s Second Congressional District.”

“I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. This is a strong validation of my record as a pro-growth, pro-business leader who delivers real results for job creators and working families,” said Gov. Paul LePage. “The Chamber is fighting for the policies Maine needs most right now: defending and building upon the successful Trump tax cuts, slashing burdensome regulations, investing in modern infrastructure, advancing American energy dominance, strengthening our workforce, and ensuring the United States stays ahead in innovation and technology like AI.”

“As Governor, I balanced budgets without raising taxes, cut red tape, and made Maine more competitive for businesses. In Congress, I will be a relentless advocate for these same priorities, lowering costs for families and small businesses, protecting American jobs, and making sure government works for the job creators who power our economy, not against them,” Gov. LePege continued. “This endorsement means a great deal. It shows the business community recognizes that I will be a strong, reliable voice for economic growth and common-sense policies that keep Maine and America competitive.”
