WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced its endorsement of Candidate Wes Climer for South Carolina’s Fifth Congressional District. The U.S. Chamber endorses candidates for federal office who will support policies that drive innovation, grow the economy, and create opportunities for American businesses and workers.

“We’re proud to support Wes Climer’s candidacy for Congress. He understands what it takes to build a strong, competitive economy, and his record in the South Carolina Senate reflects the kind of pro-growth leadership our country needs. Wes has consistently worked to reduce unnecessary regulations, support small businesses, and foster an environment where innovation and job creation can thrive. We believe he is the right choice for South Carolina’s 5th District and will be a strong advocate for the business community and our nation’s economic future," said Clark Jackson, Senior Director of the U.S. Chamber’s southeastern regional office.

“I’m honored to have the support of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Here in the Piedmont, we understand that strong communities are built on the backbone of a thriving business community — from small family-owned shops to growing manufacturers. In the State Senate, I’ve worked to cut red tape, lower costs, and create an environment where businesses can succeed and create good-paying jobs. I look forward to continuing that work in Congress and making sure South Carolina’s 5th District remains a place where businesses can grow and families can thrive,” said Wes Climer.
