WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced its endorsement of Rep. Jeff Van Drew for New Jersey’s Second District. The U.S. Chamber endorses candidates for federal office who will support policies that drive innovation, grow the economy, and create opportunities for American businesses and workers.
“The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is proud to endorse Congressman Jeff Van Drew for reelection to Congress in New Jersey’s Second Congressional District. Rep. Van Drew has been a strong voice for New Jersey’s business community and a champion for the free enterprise system, working to create an environment where businesses can grow, invest, and create good paying jobs,” said Steve McAllister Vice President of Eastern Region for the US Chamber of Commerce. “He helped lead the effort to stop the largest tax increase in history, while fighting to lower energy costs for New Jersey families and businesses and supporting critical investments in our nation’s infrastructure. Congressman Van Drew understands that a strong economy starts with a strong business community, and we look forward to continuing to work with him in Congress.”
"It is truly an honor to receive the endorsement of the United States Chamber of Commerce,” said Rep. Van Drew. “We need to get our economy moving at full throttle by unleashing the power of American energy to lower utility prices, continuing to slash burdensome red tape at every level of government, and doing everything we possibly can to put more money back into the pockets of hard working middle class families all across South Jersey."
