BATON ROUGE, LA – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce endorsed Rep. Julia Letlow for U.S. Senate in Louisiana at Performance Contractors in Baton Rouge during a stop on the Chamber’s Free Enterprise Express Opportunity Tour.

Stephen Waguespack, Senior Vice President of the U.S. Chamber Federation, also presented Rep. Letlow with the Advocate for American Business Award, highlighting her support for policies that promote economic growth, job creation, and opportunity for Louisiana businesses and workers.

“Louisiana’s economy is built on the hard work of our energy workers, our agricultural communities, and our Main Street entrepreneurs,” said Stephen Waguespack, Senior Vice President of the U.S. Chamber Federation. “Julia Letlow has earned the U.S. Chamber's endorsement because she stands with these job creators and the communities they support. She delivers the pro-growth solutions that create opportunity, which is exactly the kind of leadership our state needs.”

Rep. Letlow and Waguespack were joined by Monique Thierry, Vice President of the Congressional and Public Affairs Southwest-South Central Regional office at the U.S. Chamber.

The national Free Enterprise Express Opportunity Tour is a six-week trip through 20 states and more than 50 events to make the case for free enterprise in communities across America and push back against growing support for government-directed economic policies that threaten economic freedom, opportunity, innovation, and growth.

The effort is part of a broader Chamber initiative, the New Fight for Free Enterprise, a multi-year effort to organize, mobilize, and make the case for free enterprise everywhere public opinion is shaped, public policy is made, and future generations learn what it takes for people and communities to thrive.
