FORT WAYNE, IN – Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Fort Wayne Inc. hosted U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-IN) for a roundtable discussion in Fort Wayne, Indiana with local business leaders on the pro-growth business tax provisions in President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which was signed into law on July 4th. This forward-looking, pro-growth policy is vital to maintaining America's prosperity and competitive edge and will create new opportunities for American workers and businesses to thrive.
We applaud Senator Young for working to ensure that the constituents of Indiana continue to benefit from long-term tax relief, fostering growth for workers and businesses across his district and beyond.
“The U.S. Chamber thanks Senator Young for the discussion today on how the pro-growth tax measures in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act benefit businesses and families across the Hoosier state and around the country,” said Kevin Courtois, Vice President of the Great Lakes Region at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “This legislation provides business owners with the stability needed to innovate, hire and plan for the future, creating new opportunities to grow and thrive.”
“The One Big Beautiful Bill championed numerous pro-growth policies, including my bill to restore domestic R&D expensing, to support American small businesses and workers,” said Senator Young. “It was great to spend time with Hoosier business owners today to hear how this legislation has unleashed a more business-friendly environment and boosted the local economy.”
“Small and mid‑sized businesses are the backbone of our local economy, creating jobs, driving innovation, and supporting our communities,” said John Urbahns, President and CEO of Greater Fort Wayne Inc. “Making the 2017 tax cuts permanent has given these employers the long‑term certainty they need to plan ahead, reinvest in their operations, and stay competitive. When businesses can count on a stable tax environment, they’re far more confident about hiring, expanding, and taking the kinds of risks that fuel economic growth.”
The U.S. Chamber’s tax roundtables are a part of its Growing America’s Future campaign, an education and advocacy blitz in support of maintaining a pro-growth tax code to foster a robust U.S. economy that benefits all Americans. To date, the Chamber has hosted over 85 tax roundtables, and these events will continue over the coming months in communities across the country.
