ROSEVILLE, CA – Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce hosted U.S. Representative Kevin Kiley (R-CA-03) for a roundtable discussion in Roseville, California with local business leaders on the pro-growth business tax provisions in President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which was signed into law on July 4th. This forward-looking, pro-growth policy is vital to maintaining America's prosperity and competitive edge and will create new opportunities for American workers and businesses to thrive.
We applaud Congressman Kiley for working to ensure that the constituents of the 3rd District of California continue to benefit from long-term tax relief, fostering growth for workers and businesses across his district and beyond.
“We thank Congressman Kiley for supporting the One Big Beautiful Bill, which permanently extends the 2017 cuts,” said Nikkie Nguyen, Government Affairs Manager of the Western Region at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “The many pro-growth tax policies in this bill will generate economic growth and help California’s small businesses and families. We appreciate Congressman Kiley’s participation in today’s roundtable with small businesses in Roseville to discuss how the bill will enable them to invest and create jobs.”
“Californians give up too much of their hard-earned paycheck to taxes,” said Congressman Kiley. “Fortunately, legislation I recently helped pass in the House brings major tax relief, including an enhanced standard deduction for seniors, and a significant increase in the SALT deduction to $40,000. The Council of Economic Advisors found that Californians, who already struggle with the high cost of living, could see up to a $16,000 increase in yearly take-home pay for a typical family of four. This relief is long overdue, and it will have an immediate impact for hardworking families in California.”
“We were proud to partner with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to host the Tax Roundtable at Harris & Bruno International, one of the Roseville Area’s valued manufacturing Chamber members,” said Ananda Rochita, CEO of the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce. “The event gave our local business community a valuable opportunity to hear directly from Congressman Kevin Kiley about the potential benefits of making the 2017 Tax Cuts & Jobs Act permanent through the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (H.R.1), and to engage in meaningful discussion about how this legislation could support businesses here at home. Pro-growth tax policy remains a critical part of keeping the Roseville Area one of the best places in California to do business."
The U.S. Chamber’s tax roundtables are a part of its Growing America’s Future campaign, an education and advocacy blitz in support of maintaining a pro-growth tax code to foster a robust U.S. economy that benefits all Americans. To date, the Chamber has hosted over 50 tax roundtables, and these events will continue over the coming months in communities across the country.
