TYLER, TX – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Tyler Chamber of Commerce recently hosted U.S. Representative Nathaniel Moran (R-TX-01) for a roundtable discussion in Tyler, Texas with local business leaders on the need to extend pro-growth business tax provisions before portions of President Trump’s 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) expire at the end of the year. Doing so will create new opportunities for American workers and businesses to thrive.
Absent Congressional action, the country will see the largest automatic tax increase in American history. U.S. Representative Nathaniel Moran is on the frontlines, working to ensure that the constituents of the 1st District of Texas will not face this massive tax increase at the end of 2025.
“The U.S. Chamber thanks Congressman Nathaniel Moran for his tireless work to ensure his East Texas small businesses and working families continue to benefit from the pro-growth policies enacted in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017,” said John Gonzales, Executive Director of the Southwest/South Central Region at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “The economic impact of lower rates have helped businesses of all sizes in the district. As a member of the Ways and Means committee, Congressman Moran is working hard to promote jobs and economic growth in Texas’ First District.”
“I’m thankful to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for bringing together local business leaders for such a productive conversation,” said Congressman Moran. “Their leadership, and the voices of East Texans, are critical as we work to make pro-growth tax policy permanent. The One Big Beautiful Bill builds on what’s working—giving small businesses room to grow by lowering their tax burden, and making it easier for individuals and businesses to reinvest in their communities. I appreciate the Chamber’s continued partnership in advancing policies that strengthen the American economy from the ground up.”
“The Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce was honored to host the U.S. Chamber’s tax roundtable with Congressman Nathaniel Moran,” said Henry Bell, President of the Tyler Chamber of Commerce. “We are very grateful for the local business leaders who participated in a substantial discussion around extending the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act crucial to East Texas businesses. As a member of the Ways and Means Committee, Congressman Moran knows pro-growth policies will help businesses large and small grow our local economy and we are grateful for his leadership.”
The U.S. Chamber’s tax roundtables and business tour are the latest effort in its Growing America’s Future campaign, an education and advocacy blitz in support of maintaining a pro-growth tax code to foster a robust U.S. economy that benefits all Americans. These events will continue over the coming months in communities across the country.
