U.S.-GCC Business Initiative

The U.S.-GCC Business Initiative is the premiere advocacy organization dedicated to strengthening the commercial relationship between the United States and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. This follows significant interests both from our U.S. corporate members and companies from the GCC interested in making inward investments into the United States.

The Initiative was launched in early 2014 and coincided with the U.S. Chamber’s engagement with senior business executives from over 20 companies and firms in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Riyadh. The Chamber signed Memoranda of Understanding with the Council of Saudi Chambers, the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), and the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority. We also have a strong working relationship with the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

Leveraging our institutional partnerships and nine American Chambers of Commerce in the region, the Chamber is expanding our work to engage GCC states to deepen bilateral trade and investment. Opportunities for commercial engagement between the United States and the GCC countries extends to a wide variety of sectors, from energy to healthcare and education, to culture and defense, and the Initiative works to develop and expand these key partnerships.
