NEW YORK, NY—Today, on the margins of the 80th Session of the UN General Assembly, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S.-Türkiye Business Council hosted President of the Republic of Türkiye H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for a meeting with 20 CEOs of major U.S. multinational firms. Leading U.S. firms invested in Türkiye spoke to their partnerships in key industries, including finance, aviation, defense, energy, technology, healthcare, and logistics.

“Under the leadership of President Erdoğan and with the participation of members of his cabinet, we had a constructive dialogue with leaders of some of the most innovative U.S. companies about the future of our economic partnership. The commitment shown by U.S. investors across critical industries—from finance and aviation to energy, defense, and technology—highlights the strength and potential of the U.S.-Türkiye partnership,” said Hamdi Ulukaya, Chair of the Chamber’s U.S.-Türkiye Business Council, and Founder and CEO of Chobani.

The meeting came prior to U.S. President Donald J. Trump hosting President Erdoğan at the White House on September 25. The Chamber’s U.S.-Türkiye Business Council urged the U.S. and Turkish governments to seize upon this moment to agree on a bilateral trade deal that will open markets as well as align tax regimes and regulatory practices.
