WASHINGTON, D.C.—U.S. Chamber Senior Vice President and U.S.-Africa Business Center (USAfBC) President Scott Eisner today released the following statement after the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and U.S. Department of Agriculture announced new market access for U.S. poultry meat and products in Morocco:

“African markets are growing rapidly, and it’s critical that American farmers are able to compete for – and win over – new customers around the world. During our U.S.-Morocco Trade Forum earlier this year, government leaders spoke about opportunities to further strengthen the trade relationship between our two nations, and today’s announcement does just that. We’re pleased the administration worked with Morocco to allow the first-ever imports of U.S. poultry into the country and to give our farmers the ability to compete.”

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business federation representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions, as well as state and local chambers and industry associations.
