Dear Representative Carbajal and Representative Chavez-DeRemer:
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce strongly supports H.R. 4571, the “Child Care Investment Act of 2023.”
Your legislation would increase access to quality, affordable childcare for working families by improving the availability of tax credits for both large and small businesses. We applaud your efforts to provide businesses with additional resources to recruit and retain workers by enhancing three existing federal tax credits—the Employer-Provided Child Care Credit (45F), the Dependent Care Assistance Program, and Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit.
