WASHINGTON, D.C. — Following the release of the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) study on supply chain disruptions, U.S. Chamber Senior Vice President for International Regulatory Affairs and Antitrust, Sean Heather, issued the below statement.

“While we review the FTC’s study, one thing is obvious: the FTC designed the study to cast blame in support of its misguided agenda. A global pandemic is what caused stress to the supply chain, not the companies that the study selectively targeted.

“Moreover, the timing of this study’s release further suggests the FTC has a premeditated agenda since, despite being in development for over two years, it was agreed upon prior to having a full slate of Commissioners to provide necessary input.”
