The U.S. Chamber of Commerce supports H.R. 2144, the “Token Taxonomy Act.” In emerging industries such as cryptocurrency and blockchain, it is critical to establish strong consumer and investor protections, while enabling innovation. We thank you for your leadership in this area and we believe the Token Taxonomy Act would strike this careful balance.
We hope policymakers will allow these nascent technologies to reach their full potential by supporting the Token Taxonomy Act. This bipartisan legislation would help provide the necessary clarity businesses need, while also maintaining essential protections.
