WASHINGTON, D.C. – Jordan Crenshaw, senior vice president at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Technology Engagement Center (C_TEC), issued the following statement regarding President Trump’s Executive Order addressing the patchwork of state artificial intelligence regulations:

"The Chamber commends President Trump for working to address the growing challenge posed by a patchwork of state-level AI regulations. These fragmented state laws risk depriving small businesses and other startups of the tools they need to grow, innovate, and compete.

“It is also essential that Congress act to establish a federal AI framework to make permanent a clear, consistent national policy to deliver the certainty and stability the business community needs to harness the full potential of artificial intelligence and give American businesses an edge. We look forward to working with the administration and Congress to ensure AI works for American small businesses.”
