COVID-19 Mask Mandates by State: Which states have imposed mask mandates or rules on face coverings in response to the COVID-19 pandemic? Mask mandates in states are now often tied to an individual's vaccination status. While many states have removed mask mandates entirely, this may change in the coming weeks as the Delta variant spreads.

Statewide Emergency Declarations: By declaring a state of emergency, governors gain new powers and flexibility to react to the quickly changing environment as well as tap into federal resources. While these have waned with vaccination efforts, they may pick up again as the Delta variant spreads.
COVID-19 State Travel Restrictions: Travel restrictions typically require anyone who enters the state to self-quarantine for 14-days. Some are limited to those entering from certain locations, while others are broader and require self-quarantine generally.
