John Drake is vice president for transportation, infrastructure, and supply chain policy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the world’s largest business advocacy organization. Chamber of Commerce, the world’s largest business advocacy organization. In his role, Drake leads the Chamber’s efforts on these critical issues, engaging Congress, federal agencies, the media, and industry leaders.
With over 20 years of policy making and advocacy experience, Drake has distinguished himself as an expert in identifying and advocating for solutions to complex transportation and supply chain challenges.
Before joining the Chamber, Drake held senior public policy roles at Amazon, and key leadership positions at the U.S. Department of Transportation, including as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Transportation Policy and Deputy Administrator of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration.
Drake began his career on Capitol Hill, as a professional staff member on the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation and the House Transportation and Infrastructure committees.
Drake holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with his wife and two children.
