This week, the 2023 Global Aerospace Summit brought together many of the biggest names in the aviation and space industries. Held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C., the Summit focused executives and policymakers on the future of the skies and the stars.

Following the Summit, Christopher D. Roberti, Senior Vice President for Cyber, Space, and National Security Policy at the U.S. Chamber, noted there is still much to be done to ensure American aerospace companies can thrive.

“Some of the biggest action items relate to regulatory work,” Roberti said. “We’ve got a lot of work to do on FAA reauthorization, ensuring that the regulatory environment is suitable and favorable for companies operating at the edge of space, and push forward into the next horizons of commercial development of space exploration and aviation. We need to ensure that the regulatory environment allows for companies to grow, to create jobs, and to enhance our national and economic security.”
