ALEXANDRIA, MN – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Alexandria Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce recently hosted U.S. Representative Michelle Fischbach (R-MN-07) for a roundtable discussion in Alexandria, Minnesota with local business leaders on the pro-growth business tax provisions in President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which was signed into law on July 4th. This forward-looking, pro-growth policy is vital to maintaining America's prosperity and competitive edge and will create new opportunities for American workers and businesses to thrive.
We applaud Congresswoman Fischbach for working to ensure that the constituents of the 7th District of Minnesota continue to benefit from long-term tax relief, fostering growth for workers and businesses across her district and beyond.
“The U.S. Chamber greatly appreciates Congresswoman Fischbach’s insights into how the pro-growth tax provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act are benefitting local businesses, workers, and families in Minnesota,” said John Kirchner, Vice President of Government Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “In advocating for tax relief, Congresswoman Fischbach has demonstrated the importance of a competitive business environment that drives economic growth and job creation.”
"It was a pleasure to be in Alexandria with the local Chamber of Commerce to discuss how the Working Families Tax Cuts will make a real impact in Alexandria and the rest of the district,” said Congresswoman Fischbach. “Western Minnesota is home to hardworking families and small businesses that keep our community strong, and these tax cuts will ensure they keep more of their money and have the opportunity to thrive."
“We appreciate Congresswoman Fischbach taking time to meet with representatives of our local business community to talk about the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and how it could impact their business,” said Tara Bitzan, Executive Director of the Alexandria Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce. “Open dialogue between elected officials and the people in the trenches helps ensure local voices are part of the conversation on policies that impact economic growth.”
The U.S. Chamber’s tax roundtables are a part of its Growing America’s Future campaign, an education and advocacy blitz in support of maintaining a pro-growth tax code to foster a robust U.S. economy that benefits all Americans. To date, the Chamber has hosted over 75 tax roundtables, and these events will continue over the coming months in communities across the country.
