CARSON CITY, NV – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Carson City Chamber of Commerce recently hosted U.S. Representative Mark Amodei (R-NV-02) for a roundtable discussion in Carson City, Nevada with local business leaders on the pro-growth business tax provisions in President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which was signed into law on July 4th. This forward-looking, pro-growth policy is vital to maintaining America's prosperity and competitive edge and will create new opportunities for American workers and businesses to thrive.
We applaud Congressman Amodei for working to ensure that the constituents of the 2nd District of Nevada continue to benefit from long-term tax relief, fostering growth for workers and businesses across his district and beyond.
“By permanently extending pro-growth tax policies, the One Big Beautiful Bill gives businesses of all sizes the long-term certainty they need to re-invest in their operations, expand, and hire,” said Nikkie Nguyen, Government Affairs Manager of the Western Region at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “We appreciate Congressman Amodei’s leadership and support of pro-growth tax policies that will benefit Nevada’s small businesses and working families and drive economic growth.”
“Main Street businesses, the hospitality and service industries, and the public servants who work overtime will all benefit from the tax provisions included in the newly signed One Big Beautiful Bill,” said Congressman Amodei. “By making permanent the most effective elements of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, and expanding on that success, this legislation ensures that hardworking Americans will see more money in their paychecks and more opportunity in their communities. I’d like to thank the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for gathering community leaders and small business owners to discuss how we can work together to create lasting economic momentum for Nevada through this historic tax reform.”
“We appreciate the work Congressman Mark Amodei and Congress have done to pass the “big, beautiful bill” to keep intact the business tax cuts of 2017 indefinitely while increasing the small business deduction to 23%," said Ronni Hannaman, Executive Director at the Carson City Chamber of Commerce. “In today’s uncertain business climate, any relief from the higher cost of doing business is welcome.”
The U.S. Chamber’s tax roundtables are a part of its Growing America’s Future campaign, an education and advocacy blitz in support of maintaining a pro-growth tax code to foster a robust U.S. economy that benefits all Americans. To date, the Chamber has hosted over 50 tax roundtables, and these events will continue over the coming months in communities across the country.
