MARIETTA, GA – Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Cobb Chamber of Commerce hosted U.S. Representative Barry Loudermilk (R-GA-11) for a roundtable discussion in Marietta, Georgia with local business leaders on the pro-growth business tax provisions in President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which was signed into law on July 4th. This forward-looking, pro-growth policy is vital to maintaining America's prosperity and competitive edge and will create new opportunities for American workers and businesses to thrive.
We applaud Congressman Loudermilk for working to ensure that the constituents of the 11th District of Georgia continue to benefit from long-term tax relief, fostering growth for workers and businesses across his district and beyond.
“Congressman Loudermilk’s leadership in promoting a competitive tax code through pro-growth policies demonstrates his dedication not only to the communities of Georgia’s 11th District, but to the American workers and business owners across Georgia and nationwide,” said Moore Hallmark, Vice President and Managing Director of Regional Government Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “His support of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act enables local businesses to reinvest, innovate, and expand—essential steps that drive long-term economic growth and create new job opportunities.”
"I greatly appreciate the opportunity to be part of the roundtable discussion on tax policy,” said Congressman Loudermilk. “Georgia has been the number one state in which to do business for eleven years straight because we continue to foster a healthy, pro-business environment. With the passage of H.R. 1 in Congress, we were able to extend many of the business-friendly provisions in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act which will allow Georgians to keep more of what they earn and support continued job growth in the 11th Congressional District and beyond."
“The Cobb Chamber is proud to partner with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to host this important roundtable with Congressman Barry Loudermilk,” said Sharon Mason, President and CEO of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce. “Events like this give our small business leaders a direct voice in sharing how pro-growth tax provisions impact their ability to invest, expand, and create jobs. We are grateful for the opportunity to bring together our local businesses with federal leaders to ensure that policies like those in the OBBBA continue to provide the certainty and support our businesses need to succeed.”
The U.S. Chamber’s tax roundtables are a part of its Growing America’s Future campaign, an education and advocacy blitz in support of maintaining a pro-growth tax code to foster a robust U.S. economy that benefits all Americans. To date, the Chamber has hosted over 50 tax roundtables, and these events will continue over the coming months in communities across the country.
