GULFPORT, MS – Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce hosted U.S. Representative Mike Ezell (R-MS-04) for a roundtable discussion in Gulfport, Mississippi with local business leaders on the pro-growth business tax provisions in President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which was signed into law on July 4th. This forward-looking, pro-growth policy is vital to maintaining America's prosperity and competitive edge and will create new opportunities for American workers and businesses to thrive.

We applaud Congressman Ezell for working to ensure that the constituents of the 4th District of Mississippi continue to benefit from long-term tax relief, fostering growth for workers and businesses across his district and beyond.

“The U.S. Chamber thanks Congressman Ezell for an insightful conversation today with local business owners on how the pro-growth tax provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act give Mississippi businesses and workers the confidence and certainty they need to invest in their long-term goals,” said Clark Jackson, Senior Director of Regional Government Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “We thank him for his leadership on this important issue.”

“It was great to join the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and local business leaders in Mississippi’s Fourth District to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing our economy,” said Congressman Mike Ezell. “From reducing regulatory burdens and strengthening our workforce to supporting small businesses and improving infrastructure, these conversations help ensure Washington understands what our job creators need to succeed. I appreciate the Chamber bringing together voices from across our community, and I will continue working to advance policies that promote growth, encourage investment, and keep South Mississippi competitive.”

“Hosting this roundtable at Florence Gardens was a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we bridge the gap between Washington and our local storefronts,” said Ryan Goldin, President of Florence Gardens and Chair-Elect of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce. “The energy in the room today was undeniable; the 'One Big Beautiful Bill Act' isn't just policy—it's a massive win for the Mississippi Gulf Coast that will fuel our local businesses for years to come. We are incredibly grateful to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for their leadership in making this happen and for giving our community a seat at the table with Representative Ezell. When we unite our voices like this, there is no limit to the economic success we can build right here at home. This is exactly why the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber exists—to connect, inform, advocate, and develop—and we invite any business looking to have a real impact on our future to join us in driving this region forward."

The U.S. Chamber’s tax roundtables are a part of its Growing America’s Future campaign, an education and advocacy blitz in support of maintaining a pro-growth tax code to foster a robust U.S. economy that benefits all Americans. To date, the Chamber has hosted over 80 tax roundtables, and these events will continue over the coming months in communities across the country.
