DES MOINES, IA – Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Iowa Association of Business and Industry hosted U.S. Representative Zach Nunn (R-IA-03) for a roundtable discussion in Des Moines, Iowa with local business leaders on the pro-growth business tax provisions in President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which was signed into law on July 4th. This forward-looking, pro-growth policy is vital to maintaining America's prosperity and competitive edge and will create new opportunities for American workers and businesses to thrive.

We applaud Congressman Nunn for working to ensure that the constituents of the 3rd District of Iowa continue to benefit from long-term tax relief, fostering growth for workers and businesses across his district and beyond.

“The U.S. Chamber thanks Congressman Nunn for an engaging discussion today with local business owners about how the pro-growth tax provisions in the Working Families Tax Cuts are helping Iowa businesses and workers plan, invest, and grow with confidence,” said John Kirchner, Vice President of Government Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “We appreciate his commitment to policies that strengthen the state’s economic future.”

"Small businesses are the backbone of Iowa's economy, and today's roundtable made clear that the Working Families Tax Cuts are already delivering for them," said Congressman Nunn. "The result is a tax code that gives owners the certainty they need to hire, invest, and grow—strengthening Iowa's Main Streets and putting more dollars back in the pockets of working families.”

“Congressman Nunn’s support of the Working Families Tax Cuts has allowed Iowa small businesses and manufacturers to expand operations by increasing capital investment and hiring more employees,” said Nicole Crain, President of the Iowa Association of Business and Industry. “Manufacturing is a driving force in Iowa’s economy, employing more than 16,000 hardworking Iowans in the Third Congressional District. ABI appreciates Congressman Nunn and the U.S. Chamber for bringing employers together to discuss policies that help Iowa manufacturers invest, hire, and grow.”

The U.S. Chamber’s tax roundtables are a part of its Growing America’s Future campaign, an education and advocacy blitz in support of maintaining a pro-growth tax code to foster a robust U.S. economy that benefits all Americans. To date, the Chamber has hosted over 85 tax roundtables, and these events will continue over the coming months in communities across the country.
