MASON CITY, IA – Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Mason City Chamber of Commerce hosted U.S. Representative Ashley Hinson (R-IA-02) for a roundtable discussion in Mason City, Iowa with local business leaders on the pro-growth business tax provisions in President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which was signed into law on July 4th. This forward-looking, pro-growth policy is vital to maintaining America's prosperity and competitive edge and will create new opportunities for American workers and businesses to thrive.

We applaud Congresswoman Hinson for working to ensure that the constituents of the 2nd District of Iowa continue to benefit from long-term tax relief, fostering growth for workers and businesses across her district and beyond.

“The U.S. Chamber thanks Congresswoman Hinson for championing pro-growth policies that revitalize job creation and allow businesses to reinvest in their communities,” said Thomas Wickham, Vice President and Managing Director of Government Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “By supporting the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, Congresswoman Hinson is helping to build a more resilient economic future for small businesses, workers, and families in Iowa’s 2nd District and nationwide.”

“Thanks to President Trump’s leadership and the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill, working Americans will get to keep more of their hard-earned money, and America will be prosperous once again,” said Congresswoman Hinson. “From enacting tax cuts for working families and providing tax relief and certainty to small businesses, to ending taxes on tips and overtime, we are fighting to give Americans and Main Street businesses the certainty and freedom they need to flourish.”

"I appreciate Congresswoman Hinson's willingness to sit down with leaders from the Mason City Chamber of Commerce membership, representing of all sizes and types of businesses and organizations, to discuss the various impacts of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” said Colleen Frein, President and CEO of the Mason City Chamber of Commerce. “I hope she will take their comments to heart and keep them in mind when she returns to Washington next month. We need trusted advocates for the business community in Congress, and meetings like this help strengthen our voice at the Capitol."

The U.S. Chamber’s tax roundtables are a part of its Growing America’s Future campaign, an education and advocacy blitz in support of maintaining a pro-growth tax code to foster a robust U.S. economy that benefits all Americans. To date, the Chamber has hosted over 50 tax roundtables, and these events will continue over the coming months in communities across the country.
