MINOT, ND – Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Minot Area Chamber of Commerce hosted U.S. Representative Julie Fedorchak (R-ND-AL) for a roundtable discussion in Minot, North Dakota with local business leaders on the pro-growth business tax provisions in President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which was signed into law on July 4th. This forward-looking, pro-growth policy is vital to maintaining America's prosperity and competitive edge and will create new opportunities for American workers and businesses to thrive.

We applaud Congresswoman Fedorchak for working to ensure that the constituents of North Dakota's District At-Large continue to benefit from long-term tax relief, fostering growth for workers and businesses across her district and beyond.

"The U.S. Chamber appreciates Congresswoman Fedorchak’s leadership in championing policies that enable North Dakota’s small businesses, workers, and families to thrive under pro-growth policies,” said Micah Olson, Government Affairs Manager of the Midwest Region at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “Her support for the One Big Beautiful Bill reflects her commitment to long-term economic stability that benefits communities across North Dakota and throughout the country.”

“North Dakota businesses are the backbone of our communities both in terms of providing jobs and filling local leadership roles,” said Congresswoman Fedorchak. We had a fantastic discussion this morning with Minot Chamber members about the tax and regulatory relief provided by the OBBB and other commonsense changes needed in Washington to better support our local communities. With these partnerships, my team can help make the federal government work better for North Dakotans.”

“Congress made an important step in supporting small businesses and preventing a significant tax increase by passing the One Big Beautiful Bill and making permanent the tax cuts of 2017,” said Brekka Kramer, President and CEO of the Minot Area Chamber EDC. “Sound tax policy is essential to keeping American businesses competitive, especially here in North Dakota where agriculture, energy production, and national security are deeply interconnected. Our state not only feeds and fuels the nation but also plays a vital role in protecting it. We value Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak’s commitment to advancing pro-growth tax policies, and we appreciate the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for championing policies that strengthen our economy and our communities.”

The U.S. Chamber’s tax roundtables are a part of its Growing America’s Future campaign, an education and advocacy blitz in support of maintaining a pro-growth tax code to foster a robust U.S. economy that benefits all Americans. To date, the Chamber has hosted over 50 tax roundtables, and these events will continue over the coming months in communities across the country.
