LITTLE RIVER, SC – Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce hosted U.S. Representative Russell Fry (R-SC-07) for a roundtable discussion in Little River, South Carolina with local business leaders on the pro-growth business tax provisions in President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which was signed into law on July 4th. This forward-looking, pro-growth policy is vital to maintaining America's prosperity and competitive edge and will create new opportunities for American workers and businesses to thrive.
We applaud Congressman Fry for working to ensure that the constituents of the 7th District of South Carolina continue to benefit from long-term tax relief, fostering growth for workers and businesses across his district and beyond.
“Congressman Fry’s support for the One Big Beautiful Bill highlights his commitment to policies that help small business grow and reinvest in their communities,” said Moore Hallmark, Vice President and Managing Director of Regional Government Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “His leadership is making a real difference for workers, families, and entrepreneurs—not just in South Carolina’s Seventh District, but nationwide.”
“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and hearing directly from local job creators here in Myrtle Beach is invaluable,” said Congressman Fry. “The policies we pursue in Washington must encourage entrepreneurs to grow, hire, and invest in their communities—not hold them back. I’m grateful to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber for bringing business leaders together to ensure South Carolina’s economy remains strong and competitive.”
“We are grateful to Congressman Fry and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for bringing this tax roundtable to the Grand Strand," said Matt Pivarnik, CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and Visit Myrtle Beach. “Our region’s economy is powered by small businesses, hospitality and entrepreneurs, and it’s vital that their voices are heard on policies that directly affect growth and investment. Opportunities like this roundtable strengthen the connection between local business leaders and federal policymakers, ensuring the Myrtle Beach area remains a strong and competitive place to live, work and visit.”
The U.S. Chamber’s tax roundtables are a part of its Growing America’s Future campaign, an education and advocacy blitz in support of maintaining a pro-growth tax code to foster a robust U.S. economy that benefits all Americans. To date, the Chamber has hosted over 65 tax roundtables, and these events will continue over the coming months in communities across the country.
