OMAHA, NE – Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Nebraska State Chamber of Commerce & Industry hosted U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) for a roundtable discussion in Omaha, Nebraska with local business leaders on the pro-growth business tax provisions in President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which was signed into law on July 4th. This forward-looking, pro-growth policy is vital to maintaining America's prosperity and competitive edge and will create new opportunities for American workers and businesses to thrive.

We applaud Senator Ricketts for working to ensure that the constituents of Nebraska continue to benefit from long-term tax relief, fostering growth for workers and businesses across his district and beyond.

"The U.S. Chamber thanks Senator Ricketts for his continued leadership in advocating for pro-growth business and tax policies that benefit not only small businesses, workers, and families in Nebraska, but across the nation,” said Rodney Davis, Head of Government Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “Senator Ricketts understands that a competitive tax code expands job opportunities and gives Americans the certainty needed to invest in their future.”

“Thanks to passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill, Nebraskans will benefit—and save more of their hard-earned money,” said Senator Ricketts. “The bill avoided a tax hike of $2,443 for the average Nebraska family. This bill encourages businesses to invest in themselves and their workforce and supports small business in our state. I appreciate all those who participated in today’s local business tax roundtable in Omaha to discuss this important legislation.”

“The recently passed OBBBA contains many provisions that will benefit Nebraska's growth,” said Todd Bingham, President and CEO of the Nebraska State Chamber of Commerce & Industry. “Namely, by restoring full R&D expensing & 100% bonus depreciation and creating a new accelerated deduction for qualifying production structures, Congress is sending a strong signal: It's the time to invest. These provisions reward innovation, accelerate capital deployment, and give businesses, big and small, a green light to grow."

The U.S. Chamber’s tax roundtables and business tour are the latest effort in its  Growing America’s Future campaign, an education and advocacy blitz in support of maintaining a pro-growth tax code to foster a robust U.S. economy that benefits all Americans. These events will continue over the coming months in communities across the country.
