WINTER SPRINGS, FL – Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Seminole County Chamber of Commerce hosted U.S. Representative Cory Mills (R-FL-07) for a roundtable discussion in Winter Springs, Florida with local business leaders on the pro-growth business tax provisions in President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which was signed into law on July 4th. This forward-looking, pro-growth policy is vital to maintaining America's prosperity and competitive edge and will create new opportunities for American workers and businesses to thrive.
We applaud Congressman Mills for working to ensure that the constituents of the 7th District of Florida continue to benefit from long-term tax relief, fostering growth for workers and businesses across his district and beyond.
“The U.S. Chamber thanks Congressman Mills for his continued advocacy for a competitive tax code through his support of the One Big Beautiful Bill,” said Clark Jackson, Senior Director of Regional Government Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “All policy is local, and Congressman Mills has demonstrated his commitment to pro-growth policies that drive job creation and economic prosperity for constituents in Florida’s 7th District and across the United States.”
"The One Big Beautiful Bill is a massive win for the people of Florida’s 7th District,” said Congressman Mills. “This legislation gives working families the biggest tax cut in American history, eliminating taxes on overtime, tips, and Social Security, and putting over $10,000 a year back into the hands of hardworking Floridians. We protected family farms, boosted the Child Tax Credit for over 40 million families, and slashed Washington’s bloated spending. I voted for this bill because it puts America first, and puts our district first."
"The decisions made in the halls of Congress greatly impact businesses of all sizes and types, and that is why it is critical to stay connected to our leaders in Tallahassee and Washington," said Rebekah Arthur, President and CEO of the Seminole County Chambers. "Being able to connect our members to Congressman Mills, to give them a voice about tax policy and other issues, is a core service of our chamber, and we were pleased to work with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to provide that to this group of business leaders."
“It was an honor to host Congressman Cory Mills, U.S. Chamber of Commerce representatives, and Central Florida business leaders at our headquarters to discuss the pro-growth tax policies included in the One Big Beautiful Bill,” said Kevin Speed, President of ITI Engineering. “We appreciate Congressman Mills’ leadership in advancing this legislation, which directly impacts the aerospace and defense industry.”
The U.S. Chamber’s tax roundtables are a part of its Growing America’s Future campaign, an education and advocacy blitz in support of maintaining a pro-growth tax code to foster a robust U.S. economy that benefits all Americans. To date, the Chamber has hosted over 50 tax roundtables, and these events will continue over the coming months in communities across the country.
