THORNTON, CO – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Thornton Chamber of Commerce recently hosted U.S. Representative Gabe Evans (R-CO-08) for a roundtable discussion in Thornton, Colorado with local business leaders on the pro-growth business tax provisions in President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which was signed into law on July 4th. This forward-looking, pro-growth policy is vital to maintaining America's prosperity and competitive edge and will create new opportunities for American workers and businesses to thrive.

We applaud Congressman Evans for working to ensure that the constituents of the 8th District of Colorado continue to benefit from long-term tax relief, fostering growth for workers and businesses across his district and beyond.

“The U.S. Chamber thanks Congressman Gabe Evans for his tireless work to ensure Colorado small businesses and working families continue to benefit from the pro-growth policies enacted in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 by passing the One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” said John Gonzales, Executive Director of the Southwest/South Central Region at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “The economic impact of lower rates and less regulations have helped businesses of all sizes in the district. As a member of the Energy and Commerce committee, Congressman Evans is working hard to support pro energy policies that will support jobs and economic growth for Colorado and the Nation.”

“It was wonderful to meet with local business leaders to discuss various issues facing Colorado’s local economy and workforce,” said Congressman Evans. “In my first eight months in Congress, I have secured pro-growth tax reform and tax cuts for workers, which will drive economic momentum for small businesses and working families across Colorado. I look forward to continuing these conversations as we tackle the red tape that has made Colorado the sixth most regulated state so we can make our state a better place to live and work.”

“The Thornton Area Chamber of Commerce was honored to host the U.S. Chamber’s Tax Roundtable with Congressman Gabe Evans,” said Courtney Potter, Executive Director of the Thornton Chamber of Commerce. “We have a proud tradition of engaging with federal representatives to ensure local business voices are heard on the policies that shape our economy. Congressman Evans’ leadership and willingness to collaborate with our business community demonstrate the partnerships that drive real growth and prosperity.”

The U.S. Chamber’s tax roundtables are a part of its Growing America’s Future campaign, an education and advocacy blitz in support of maintaining a pro-growth tax code to foster a robust U.S. economy that benefits all Americans. To date, the Chamber has hosted over 50 tax roundtables, and these events will continue over the coming months in communities across the country.
