TULSA, OK – Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Tulsa Regional Chamber of Commerce hosted U.S. Representative Kevin Hern (R-OK-01) for a roundtable discussion in Tulsa, Oklahoma with local business leaders on the pro-growth business tax provisions in President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which was signed into law on July 4th. This forward-looking, pro-growth policy is vital to maintaining America's prosperity and competitive edge and will create new opportunities for American workers and businesses to thrive.
We applaud Congressman Hern for working to ensure that the constituents of the 1st District of Oklahoma continue to benefit from long-term tax relief, fostering growth for workers and businesses across his district and beyond.
“It was a privilege to join the Tulsa Chamber for a tax roundtable with Congressman Hern at AAON, a leader in HVAC innovation since 1988,” said Monique Thierry, Vice President of the Southwest/South Central Region at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “As a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, the Congressman shared valuable insights into how the pro-growth provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill will strengthen Oklahoma’s economy by driving innovation and investment.”
“I am proud to have delivered the working family tax cut’s relief and permanency to Oklahoma families,” said Congressman Hern. “For industry, this legislation is a win for small businesses, workers, and economic growth. I am grateful to the Chamber for organizing this opportunity to once again share the benefits of this bill directly with job creators, to answer questions about the legislation, and to get their feedback on how the law will specifically benefit their business.”
“Pro-growth tax legislation has given businesses much-needed certainty and clarity in the tax code,” said Mike Neal, President and CEO of the Tulsa Regional Chamber of Commerce. “That stability allows employers to plan with confidence and make long-term decisions about hiring, investing and expanding operations. I want to thank Congressman Hern, who has always been a strong advocate for entrepreneurs, job creators and the policies that fuel growth in communities such as ours.”
“As an industry leader in HVAC solutions for commercial and industrial indoor environments, AAON was honored to welcome Congressman Kevin Hern – along with leaders from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Tulsa Regional Chamber – to our Tulsa campus,” said Kevin Teakell, Head of Government and Industry Affairs for AAON. “We appreciate that the Big Beautiful Bill, championed by Congressman Hern, included 100% capital expenditure deductions in year one, reinstated the R&D tax credit, permanently reduced income taxes and eliminated federal income tax on overtime. These measures benefit our business, our nearly 2,900 Tulsa team members, and our more than 5,300 personnel nationwide.”
The U.S. Chamber’s tax roundtables are a part of its Growing America’s Future campaign, an education and advocacy blitz in support of maintaining a pro-growth tax code to foster a robust U.S. economy that benefits all Americans. To date, the Chamber has hosted over 60 tax roundtables, and these events will continue over the coming months in communities across the country.
