WARREN, OH – Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber of Commerce hosted U.S. Representative Dave Joyce (R-OH-14) for a roundtable discussion in Warren, Ohio with local business leaders on the pro-growth business tax provisions in President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which was signed into law on July 4th. This forward-looking, pro-growth policy is vital to maintaining America's prosperity and competitive edge and will create new opportunities for American workers and businesses to thrive.
We applaud Congressman Joyce for working to ensure that the constituents of the 14th District of Ohio continue to benefit from long-term tax relief, fostering growth for workers and businesses across his district and beyond.
“The U.S. Chamber greatly appreciates Congressman Joyce’s commitment to advancing policies that drive economic growth and empower local businesses,” said Rodney Davis, Head of Government Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “His support for getting the One Big Beautiful Bill Act into law ensures small businesses are equipped with the tools and certainty they need to grow, hire, and invest—benefitting Ohio’s 14th District and communities across the country.”
“The One Big Beautiful Bill is creating an environment for small businesses and individuals that stimulates growth and prosperity,” said Congressman Joyce. “If Congress let the provisions from the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act expire, the impacts on the local economy would have been devastating. This roundtable was an excellent opportunity to hear directly from industry leaders about how they are benefitting from this landmark legislation. I want to thank the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber, and the Anderson-Dubose Company for hosting this event.”
“We are grateful to Congressman Dave Joyce for taking time to engage directly with our business community on the important tax provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” said Guy Coviello, President and CEO of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber of Commerce. “His leadership, alongside the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, ensures that the voices of local employers are heard and that policies supporting growth and competitiveness continue to drive opportunity for the Mahoning Valley. Today’s discussion allowed participants to share firsthand how these policies continue to impact businesses and communities. We also thank The Anderson-DuBose Company for hosting today’s roundtable and for their ongoing commitment to our region’s economic vitality.”
“The Ohio Chamber of Commerce thanks Congressman Joyce for his efforts on H.R. 1, the One Big Beautiful Bill,” said Justin Barnes, Vice President of Government Affairs at the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. “Whether through making bonus depreciation, Section 179 expensing, or R&D tax credit expensing permanent, or various other investments in pro-growth tax policy, this legislation will provide certainty for businesses of all sizes in Ohio, ensuring they have the confidence to invest in their operations for the benefit of their employees, their communities, and the state’s economy.”
The U.S. Chamber’s tax roundtables are a part of its Growing America’s Future campaign, an education and advocacy blitz in support of maintaining a pro-growth tax code to foster a robust U.S. economy that benefits all Americans. To date, the Chamber has hosted over 50 tax roundtables, and these events will continue over the coming months in communities across the country.
