Heather Rogers, president, Simply Organized. — Heather Rogers

In our Growth Studio Spotlight series, CO— aims to connect budding entrepreneurs with business owners who have been there, providing advice that can help bridge the gap between a business idea and successful execution. In this edition, we consult with Heather Rogers, president of Atlanta-based organizing company Simply Organized, to share her business experiences — from facing challenges head on to finding ways to increase clientele. Simply Organized has been in business for 9 years and has 2 employees.

Here's how Rogers describes her company: Simply Organized helps simplify our individual and business clients’ lives by helping them de-clutter and solve their organizing problems.

If you had additional capital, how would you invest it in your business?

We would hire more employees so we could help more people in a greater geographical area.

What is your biggest business challenge?

Our biggest challenge is lack of time. We are always looking for ways to do more with the hours we are given. We use our time management tools to make the most of our 24 hour days.

What was your biggest win?

I’ve hired a business development manager to help me grow our company. I’m very excited for all of the ideas, skills and expertise she will bring to Simply Organized.

Our team’s number one goal is to take as much stress off of our clients as possible.

What’s the one thing your business is known for doing better than the competition?

Our excellent customer service puts us above the rest. Our team’s number one goal is to take as much stress off of our clients as possible. We do that by communicating and exceeding expectations.

What is your best source of new customers?

Most are referred to us through our real estate agent partners and our happy customers. We are on all of the major social media sites plus Angie’s List. After years of blogging and working on the website SEO, many also find us through Google.

How do you market your business?

We market to real estate agencies and moving companies but our previous clients’ referrals are our bread and butter.

How do you hope to grow your business in the next five years?

We are expanding our moving division to focus on executive relocations. The need for unpacking and organizing services in Atlanta is growing and we plan to help as many companies get their employees quickly moved in and settled as possible.
