When you run your own business, time is of the essence. Fortunately, technology makes it easier to organize your tasks and manage your time better. Listed below are five apps that will keep you more organized.

IFTTT

If you’re interested in adding automation to your daily tasks, then you need to check out IFTTT. This app is named based on the phrase, “If this, then that…”

The way IFTTT works is that if you do one thing, the app automatically follows up with another action. The app works on rules that are created for various interfaces.

For instance, if you update your LinkedIn profile picture, you can schedule your Twitter photo to update automatically as well. Or if your most productive work hours are every morning from 8 AM to 10 AM, IFTTT can automatically mute your phone during that time block.

IFTTT is pretty simple to use, and you don’t need to know how to code to get it set up. There are other apps available that set up similar automation rules, but one of the advantages of IFTTT is that it’s free.

LastPass

Most people know that it’s not a smart idea to use the same password for every account. But in the U.S. alone, the average email address is associated with 130 different online accounts! That’s a lot of passwords to have to keep up with.

If you’ve ever tried to log into a website but couldn’t remember the password, then you need LastPass. When you sign up for LastPass, you’ll save all your login information in the vault. Then you’ll create one master password for the vault, where you can access your account information.

You can use LastPass on your PC and mobile devices. The app will save you from wasting time trying to reset old passwords that you’ve long forgotten.

Google Drive

Google Drive is one of the best ways to keep your files organized. It syncs with your Gmail account and can be easily accessed from your phone, tablet or PC.

One of the best things about Google Drive is that it works well for sharing documents, in addition to storing them. For instance, if you have a work file that multiple people need to access or collaborate on, you can create it in your Google Drive and invite the members that you choose.

You also get to decide how much access other people have to your documents. You can choose to allow others to edit the document or put the sharing settings on view only.

HabitList

We all have a list of habits that we would like to incorporate into our lives more regularly. HabitList makes it easier for you to create new habits and track your progress along the way.

Once you download the app, you’ll set up any new habits that you want to create and then schedule the frequency. From there, the app will track your progress and show you patterns that you may not recognize yourself.

Cloze

If you have a hard time keeping up with everyone in your network, then you should check out Cloze. Close makes it easier to keep track of and stay in touch with all your business contacts.

Cloze keeps track of all your interactions with your business network. It pulls important information from your emails, LinkedIn messages, social media profiles, phone calls and more.

The app’s algorithm learns who is important to you and will remind you when it’s time to reach out to your most important contacts. This will make it easier for you to keep up with your network and always stay top of mind.
