EASTON, PA – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce recently hosted U.S. Representative Ryan Mackenzie (R-PA-07) for a roundtable discussion in Easton, Pennsylvania with local business leaders on the pro-growth business tax provisions in President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which was signed into law on July 4th. This forward-looking, pro-growth policy is vital to maintaining America's prosperity and competitive edge and will create new opportunities for American workers and businesses to thrive.

We applaud Congressman Mackenzie for working to ensure that the constituents of the 7th District of Pennsylvania continue to benefit from long-term tax relief, fostering growth for workers and businesses across his district and beyond.

“Congressman Ryan Mackenzie has been a strong champion for pro-growth tax policies that are delivering real results for businesses and workers in PA-07,” said Ryan Gleason, Senior Manager of Government Affairs for the US Chamber of Commerce’s Great Lakes Regional Office. “The tax provisions in the Working Families Tax Cuts including permanent full expensing, restoration of immediate R&D deductions, and the permanent 20% Qualified Business Income deduction, are empowering small businesses across the Lehigh Valley and beyond to invest, hire, and grow. We thank Congressman Mackenzie for his leadership in advancing these common-sense reforms that are strengthening our economy and keeping America competitive. We appreciate his continued partnership on behalf of the business community.”

“Thank you to the US Chamber of Commerce, our friends at the Pennsylvania and Greater Lehigh Valley Chambers, and all the local business leaders who joined us to discuss the important changes we made to the tax code that will help them invest and grow their businesses right here in the Lehigh Valley in the Poconos,” said Congressman Mackenzie. “Businesses will now enjoy immediate expensing of capital purchases, small businesses will see greater certainty and lower rates, and individual workers will see more money back in their pockets. All of this will allow people to spend their money more freely and grow our economy.”

“The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce is committed to our mission to improve the economy and quality of communities in the Greater Lehigh Valley,” said Tony Iannelli, President and CEO of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. “One of the ways we support our 4,000 business members is to facilitate discussions with local, regional, and state government officials. We are pleased to partner with the US and PA Chambers of Commerce in bringing Lehigh Valley business leaders together with Congressman Mackenzie for dialogue and discussion around the tax impacts of the Big Beautiful Bill.”

“Pennsylvania employers are already putting last summer’s pro-growth tax reforms to work, driving new investment, expanding payrolls, and planning for the future with greater certainty,” said Luke Bernstein, President and CEO of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry. “Congressman Ryan Mackenzie was instrumental in getting that legislation across the finish line, and we appreciate his continued engagement with employers here in the Lehigh Valley. We’re also grateful for the leadership of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the strong coordination we share with our local and regional chamber partners. That unified approach is helping to deliver results for Pennsylvania and position our economy for continued growth.”

The U.S. Chamber’s tax roundtables are a part of its Growing America’s Future campaign, an education and advocacy blitz in support of maintaining a pro-growth tax code to foster a robust U.S. economy that benefits all Americans. To date, the Chamber has hosted over 85 tax roundtables, and these events will continue over the coming months in communities across the country.
