RYE BROOK, NY – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Business Council of Westchester recently hosted U.S. Representative Mike Lawler (R-NY-17) for a roundtable discussion in Rye Brook, New York with local business leaders on the pro-growth business tax provisions in President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act. This forward-looking, pro-growth policy is vital to maintaining America's prosperity and competitive edge and will create new opportunities for American workers and businesses to thrive.

We applaud Congressman Lawler for working to ensure that the constituents of the 17th District of New York continue to benefit from long-term tax relief, fostering growth for workers and businesses across his district and beyond.

“Congressman Mike Lawler continues to be a strong advocate for New York’s small business community,” said Steve McAllister, Vice President of the Eastern Region at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “At our recent roundtable, business leaders from across NY-17 shared firsthand how the One Big Beautiful Bill is helping them invest, grow, and create jobs, while also raising concerns about the challenges they continue to face. Congressman Lawler played a key role in advancing this pro-growth tax reform and remains committed to ensuring Main Street businesses have a voice in Washington. His leadership and focus on job creation and economic growth are making a real difference for businesses across the district.”

“Yesterday, I joined the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Business Council of Westchester, and local business leaders from across NY-17 for a tax policy roundtable discussion,” said Congressman Lawler. “This productive conversation focused on the impact of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and other pro-growth tax policies that support small businesses, job creation, and economic growth. It was an important opportunity to hear directly from employers and entrepreneurs about the challenges they face, including New York’s high tax burden, and discuss solutions that help both Main Street businesses and our broader economy thrive.”

“As Westchester’s largest business membership organization that focuses on economic development and advocacy, it is critical that our members have the opportunity to meet with our members of Congress and build a strong line of communication in order to address some of the important issues that business face on a daily basis,” said Jon Ravitz, Executive Vice President/COO of the Business Council of Westchester. “The BCW always appreciates the fact that Congressmen Lawler always makes himself available to meet with our members.”

The U.S. Chamber’s tax roundtables are a part of its Growing America’s Future campaign, an education and advocacy blitz in support of maintaining a pro-growth tax code to foster a robust U.S. economy that benefits all Americans. To date, the Chamber has hosted over 95 tax roundtables, and these events will continue over the coming months in communities across the country.
