Based in Austin, Texas, Delysia Chocolatier has grown from a six-foot rented table into a 2,000-square-foot Culinary Center known for artisanal chocolate creations. Even during its launch amid the financial crisis, the company embraced a commitment to quality and creativity—a spirit that shines brightest every Easter.
Nicole Patel, Chef Owner & Chocolatier, recalls the leap of faith:
“It was overwhelming at times, but it forced me to become incredibly resourceful and resilient,” she said.
Easter provides a perfect canvas for Delysia’s seasonal offerings, from handpainted chocolate eggs to gourmet bunny treats. Patel emphasized how adaptability has shaped her business:
“Sometimes it’s better to take that first step and figure things out as you go. You learn by doing,” explained Patel.
Much of Delysia’s growth comes not only from flavor but also from listening to customers and evolving organically. For example, the pandemic inspired virtual chocolate tastings, a tradition that continues during Easter to reach chocolate lovers beyond Austin.
Reflecting on these lessons, Patel noted:
