The U.S.-Egypt Business Council (USEBC) is the leading advocacy organization representing America’s top companies doing business in Egypt. The Council is made up of senior executives of U.S. companies from every business sector that are major investors in Egypt.

Celebrating 40 Years of U.S.-Egypt Relations

Launched on March 27, 1979 by President of the United States Jimmy Carter and President of Egypt Anwar Sadat at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the U.S.-Egypt Business Council (USEBC) has played a key role in strengthening the strategic and economic alliance between the two nations.

In 2019, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce marked the 40th Anniversary of the Council’s founding, which we was celebrated with a series of events and substantive activities throughout the year, including a high-level gala dinner.

New Dialogue for a New Era in the U.S.-Egypt Economic Relationship

In advance of the upcoming U.S.-Egypt Strategic Dialogue on August 2nd, 2015, the U.S.-Egypt Business Council in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt and the Egypt-U.S. Business Council are releasing the, "New Dialogue for a New Era in the U.S.-Egypt Economic Relationship: Working Together to Strengthen Ties." This policy paper offers a set of recommendations to enhance the bilateral commercial relationship between the U.S. and Egypt and unleash the innovative and dynamic forces of the private sector to help reform and modernize the Egyptian economy and set it on a sustainable path of extended economic growth. Copies of this report will be given to the U.S. and Egyptian governments for their consideration ahead of the Strategic Dialogue.
