U.S. Chamber files amicus brief

June 07, 2012

This case stems from a Michigan district court’s underlying decision to award approximately $750,000 in attorneys' fees and costs against the EEOC, as a result of the agency’s failed discrimination suit against defendant Peoplemark, Inc. In its amicus brief, NCLC urged the Sixth Circuit to uphold the attorneys' fees award and hold the EEOC accountable for its overly zealous enforcement tactics in large-scale pattern or practice cases.
