Institute for Organization Management is the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s professional development program for association, chamber, and other nonprofit executives. Since 1921, Institute has educated leaders from across the country, making it one of oldest and best regarded adult education programs in nonprofit management.

Today, Institute's curriculum educates executives on all facets of running a nonprofit organization. The program consists of four, weeklong sessions at four different sites across the country. While on-site, attendees participate in 24 hours of course instruction, on topics such as advocacy, new media, membership, finance, legal issues, human resources, and much more.

Participants engage in lively discussions on a multitude of matters affecting the association and chamber industries, ultimately helping them build stronger organizations, better serve their members, and become leading business advocates.

The Engagement Balancing Act: Rethinking Email and Social Media

Are we sending too many emails, or not enough? Is social media still worth the effort? Are we reaching all our members, or just the ones who already show up? Join Marketing Strategist Amy Hager, IOM, CAE, on Thursday, February 26th at 1PM ET to go beyond intuition (or guessing) and vanity metrics to use the right data points to guide some of the most impactful decisions in your association or chamber communications. You’ll learn how small shifts in email timing, content structure, and segmentation can increase clarity and drive member action. We’ll also explore how reducing social media output, when done strategically, can actually improve engagement, and how more inclusive communication practices can help you better represent and connect with overlooked member segments. This session is all about simplifying your messaging, focusing your team’s energy, and leading with clarity. Institute is a CAE and CCE Approved Provider, and this Institute webinar qualifies for one hour of CAE credit and one point of CCE credit.
