WASHINGTON, D.C. –U.S. Chamber Vice President for Transportation and Infrastructure Ed Mortimer issued the following statement today following passage of S. 3021, America’s Water Infrastructure Act:

“The U.S. Chamber applauds Congress for keeping its commitment to authorize water infrastructure projects every two years. Drinking water systems, flood risk management, and navigation systems are essential for economic growth, public safety, and the environment. This legislation reauthorizes programs that support these and other important efforts, and we look forward to the president signing it into law.”

Previously, the Chamber sent this letter to the U.S. House in support of the bill.
