WASHINGTON, D.C. — Small business owners and top experts will come together in five cities this year to build ideas and share actionable insights on the most pressing challenges in business. CO— by U.S. Chamber of Commerce, in a new partnership with Chase for Business, and in collaboration with state and local Chambers across the country, will host our fourth annual nationwide event series celebrating the success of small and growing businesses.

The tour kicks off in New Orleans on May 6, 2020. Here is the full calendar of events:

  • New Orleans, Louisiana – May 6, 2020
  • Salt Lake City, Utah – June 16, 2020
  • Detroit, Michigan – September 17, 2020
  • CO— Summit in Washington D.C. – October 14-15, 2020
  • Boston, Massachusetts – November 18, 2020

During each half-day program, participants will learn tools, strategies, and best practices to help small businesses successfully compete in today's rapidly changing economy, as well as hear inspiring stories of success and perseverance.

“The CO—small business series is a platform designed to elevate the voice of small business owners, as well as engage, invigorate and inspire them to continue building and growing their businesses,” said Tom Sullivan, vice president of small business policy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “Small businesses are the backbone of the American economy and the Chamber is excited to continue our commitment to Main Street by working with Chase for Business on our 2020 nationwide small business tour.”

The series includes a two-day summit and awards gala in Washington D.C. honoring the achievements of small businesses. The Dream Big Small Business of the Year Award will go to one business exemplifying the spirit of innovation, entrepreneurship and individual initiative. Six Business Achievement awards will be handed out in categories including green/sustainable business, minority-owned business and young entrepreneur business. A Community Excellence Award will recognize a business that has positively impacted the quality of life in its community.

Launched by the U.S. Chamber in 2019, CO– is a platform designed to help business owners solve problems, break down barriers, and grow their companies through engaging digital content and events. Building on the U.S. Chamber’s longstanding role as a resource and advocate for businesses, CO– brings top-notch expertise to ambitious business owners outside the Fortune 1000.

This year Chase for Business joins the U.S. Chamber as the presenting sponsor of the 2020 CO— event series for small and growing businesses and Dream Big Awards.

“One of the ways we can help business owners is by connecting them with other business leaders to build their network and share stories,” said John McCourt, Head of Client Relationships at Chase Business Banking. “Teaming with the U.S. Chamber to support the small business community is something we’re proud to do.”
