WASHINGTON, D.C. - This week, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce debuted a new data center to show the impact of the 20% pass-through deduction on businesses, workers, and local economies. The U.S. Chamber’s new interactive map quantifies the impact in every state and congressional district.

Following the data center’s debut, Watson McLeish, Senior Vice President for Tax Policy at the Chamber, released the below statement.

“Allowing the 20% pass-through deduction to expire at the end of next year would result in a tax increase on one of the major sources of jobs in our nation, directly hurting workers and the economy. The Chamber urges Congress to enact the ‘Main Street Tax Certainty Act’ to make the 20% pass-through deduction permanent.”
